9 Article Marketing Tips And How To Succeed In Article Marketing

Article marketing can do a lot for your business and website!

article marketingYou just need to know a couple of things. Here are some tips to help you out:

1. First, you need to make sure that whatever it is you’re writing about is relevant to the topic. If you know for a fact that your product could be very useful, then do a good research about it and then make sure to end your article with a link to your website.

Before you upload your article to an article directory, check to see if the site you plan to put the article in has this as one of their topics.

2. Just like what you read in the newspaper, online or see on television, your article must be both timely and newsworthy. This will allow you stay on the pulse of what is happening in the world.

One good way is signing up with a site, blogs, forums and even membership sites that gives you alerts with regards to certain topics and updates.

Writing Articles

3. Some writers just post one article and that’s it. Just like the movie producers in Hollywood, you should post a sequel to your articles because there could already be new information available which you could share with your public.

4. You should also make your articles viral. What this simply means is allowing other people to publish your article just as long as nothing is changed and you are given credit for it.

Another way of doing this is offering your writing services to others which will become added revenue for you.

5. Each article you write must be short and simple. It must be short so that it will not bore the reader. Simple so that they will be able to understand the message you are trying to convey.

6. Just how many articles must you write to increase traffic? The good news is that you only need 2 to get things started.

A good title will be “ how to do something” and “ x number of tips for something.” If this catches their interest, that person will most likely click on the link to your site and then buy something. The bottom line is that it increases web traffic.

7. You can stop at just 2 articles to promote your site. If you have other products, you can write articles on it as well and then mention in the resource box.

This is known as cross-referencing which a lot of webmasters allow their contributors to do.

8. Aside from posting your written work in other websites, don’t forget to also put these in your own. If you have written 10 or more about the same topic, put these together to what is known as an e-book and then pass this along for free.

Again, if people like what is written there then people wouldn’t mind reading it several times.

9. Aside from posting in websites, make use of RSS feeds. There are plenty of them around so make use of it.

There are two ways to get into article marketing.

The first is to write it yourself and just hope that people will appreciate your writing style. If you decide to go this route just be yourself and provide high value over delivering in quality.

Article Marketing Tips:
  • Keep a list of words, ideas, phrases to write content from later. It works great and I did it while I worked a 9 to 5 every single day I would ride the train in to work. It saved me many ours of research since I knew exactly what my topic would be.
  • Don’t force yourself to write something your not ready to delve into. The story will not come out the way it should be. Let the conversation flow as if you were speaking to your best friend.
  • Bullet Points – Use them, it breaks up the transition of different points or topics your trying to educate your reader about.
  • Remember, you are writing for your reader so you must include them in the story to engage them to create loyal readers and followers.

Follow these simple tips and it will save you time and create a great article as well.

The second is to hire someone to do it. Some charge by the hour while others charge per word. It may be worth it if this increases traffic to your site and conversions.

So, What does it take to succeed in article marketing?

This is a question you have to ask is, if you plan to use this cost effective form of advertising to promote your business and/or products. If you really think about it, anybody can do it. You just need to know some basics.

When we say basics, the article regardless of what topic should be timely, consistent and value driven. This is because you want to bring value to the readers even all the way to the end, you are making them avail of your product or service and benefits.

This all begins with your title itself because the catchy ones will make the reader want to know and learn more about what you have to say. If they don’t get past the title then your effort of content writing has been wasted.

Is like a lense, a Headline is like a lense that lets them see in their vision of what you are writing about and if it is related to what they are searching for. Use 5 Wining Headline Formulas to create headlines that will grab your reader by the eye balls.

When you work on the first paragraph all the way to the end, write your article in a conversational tone. This allows you to connect with your readers as though you are talking with them face to face.

In fact, one of the best words to use is “you” because you are their advocate. Bloggers and writers use this strategy effectively to generate nice amounts of traffic to their websites and/or blogs.

In writing your article, make sure to list down the benefits and use bullet points. Remember, people are more inclined to buy something if they know there is something they can gain or solve from using your product.

For instance, if you are writing an article on weight loss and you have something that can help lose their weight. Just make sure of course you are able to deliver the product in  timely manner. Keep everything simple so even the average person can understand your message you are trying to convey to them.

The last part of the article should have a link to your website. Another way of doing it is to use the resource box.

These two things are important because after reading your article, you want that person to visit your website. The same goes if what you are offering is a service and the only way to do that is to let them get in touch with you.

You should also post your work in other websites as well as your own so you are able to reach a wider audience.

Keep in mind there are thousands of websites now and nobody will able to see your articles without the help of search engines.

This is why keywords are so important. These should also be integrated to the article so choose these carefully so it will not disrupt the natural flow of content.

Use Google Keyword Planner to find the best keywords to use in your article. Use keywords sparingly through your article and in your author’s box with a link to your website.

Don’t expect to write article very well if you have never done this before and are just starting out. Just like any other skill, it takes time to develop and practice makes perfect.

One way to do this is to read how other writers are do it and then try to apply this to your own articles. You can attend a few writing classes or courses as well so you can get feedback from your instructors.

So, What does it take to succeed in article marketing?

Basically good writing skills because how you do it may or may not increase website traffic as well as how you use social media and other marketing strategies to promote your articles.

Those who have tried but failed have decided to enlist the help of a professional writer and outsourced instead given that they have the experience to achieve what you are trying to put down on paper.

In the end, it is all about content which should be relevant to whatever you are selling or readers interest of topic, otherwise you are just wasting the reader’s time.

Improving Your Business Using Article Marketing

There are many ways of improving your online business but an overlooked area is, ” Article Marketing “.

Article MarketingWriting can be a passion, a profession, a craft or even a hobby. But more importantly a great  marketing tool. How?

If you have a business and your aim is to get the word out about you or your business, one great way to go about such a task online is through article marketing.

Marketing Strategies

If you own an online business, whether it is a start-up or a big company, you are always thinking of ways to promote your product or blog/website.

This is the main reason why creating web sites or a blog are popular these days. More and more people are getting hooked with how the cyber world quickly works wonders.

If you own a web site, the next thing that you will think about is how to drive more traffic to it. Just like how you do it offline, you have to reach out to your target market and lead them into clicking your URL to your website.

Using social media platforms is an effective and popular way.

Submit your article to ezines, bookmarking sites, Google Plus groups relevant to your market, Facebook Groups, the same as G+ apply to FB.

Share your site on your social media business page and get people to like your content and possibly even setup a paid ad with Facebook from your FB Business Page.

Article Submission Sites

With the advent of many credible article submission sites on the web come entrepreneurs who are seeing opportunities open for them to speak out and pique the interests of their potential clients or website visitors.

Here is a great video about Article Submission Tutorial and Submission Strategy by Melbourne SEO Services.

And how do you go about this?

1. You create good content.

What does this mean? For example, you are a printing company who caters to business people and professionals.

You offer postcards, business cards, brochures, newsletters and the likes. When you write the articles, you will not only think about ways to design your postcards, you will go and direct the material to your target market. You can write an article about ways to design your postcards to help your food business.

This way, you already are capturing a niche market. These people will be interested with the products that you are offering.

They will be more interested if they will get a view of how they would be able to utilize such tools. And the perfect avenue for you to do so is through the good and functional article marketing content that you make available for these people.

2. Take time to fill out your Article directory Resource Box

When submitting your articles to directories, the directories allow you a space to have your author’s bio. No, this doesn’t mean that you have to brag that you are a good looking, 40 something, with bank savings. You are not looking for a partner. You are looking for clients and more traffic to your site.

To do this right, include your name, your web site address, a tag line or your business’ unique selling proposition and a strong ” Call to Action ” for your readers.

This is the venue where you will promote your own stuff and get people to click on your links to visit your website or blog, read your content and possibly even subscribe to your newsletter.

Now you understand why it is important to create quality content for this purpose? People must trust that you can deliver what you have promised.

They don’t know you. But in establishing your name as an expert in the field where they need help, they will learn to appreciate you and may later become interested as to what you are offering them.

You cannot achieve that with subpar articles.

If you don’t have the knack for it, you can always hire freelancers to do the job for you like Fiverr Dot Com, Freelance Dot Com or Elance Dot Com.

Another way to get articles cheaply is through PLR content sites but with this option it is imperative that you rewrite at least 50%or more  of content so you don’t get penalized for duplicate content. And also you might want to change the Headline and Sub-line wording.

This way, you will be able to provide article marketing to submission sites while you reap the benefits of such article marketing strategy through time.

What Types Of Marketing Strategies Should You Use?

There Are Many Types Of Marketing Strategies Available But It Can Be Overwhelming!

types of marketing strategiesYesterday I talked about video marketing and three simple videos you could use to get more traffic and leads to your business. If you missed it you can read it here -> Video Script Formula.

It can be overwhelming specially if your not getting the results you want from your marketing efforts. When marketers start talking about what types of marketing strategies they should use they overlook the obvious places and it is normal to do so if you don’t have a clear understanding of how to do marketing online.

Some of the best effective types of marketing strategies are:

  • Article Marketing – Free Method or Paid – Submitting to article directories and having your website link included in the article author box usually at the end of the article to get traffic back to your website or blog.
  • Video Marketing – Free Method  or Paid – Create short two minute video providing value content, a specific message with a solution and a call-to-action to increase leads, traffic and sales.
  • PPC Marketing – Paid Method – Paid Per Click is exactly that ( every time someone clicks on your ad you get charged and this method will get you traffic instantly but word of caution, you need to do your homework before you start to invest money in this marketing strategy. You could loose money very quickly if you don’t know what your doing.
  • PPV Marketing – Paid Method – Paid Per View marketing is a strategy where they display your ad to your relevant industry selected when setting up your ad.
  • PPA Marketing – Paid Method – Paid Per Action is a marketing method where each time a visitor takes a specific action like when someone LIKES your Facebook page for example or you might want them to visit your blog post and each of these actions are charged accordingly.
  • Facebook Paid Ads – When marketing on Facebook the first thing you need is to have a business page set up which you will use for your advertising. You can post an article or event on your business page timeline and choose the boost feature to promote your blog post. Or you could use the Ads Manager to create your ads. Just remember that there are certain guidelines Facebook has and recommend you get familiar before you start spending money on ads.
  • Facebook – Free Methods – Using free methods for marketing on Facebook is possible but will take a little work. You could use the FB Groups to attract people into your business. You can also post lots of valuable and applicable content on your business page timeline.
  • Blogging – Almost Free – This method requires you to write high quality content or get high quality content written for you. Also requires you to invest in your own website/blog, you will need hosting, a Domain Name and an email autoresponder.

Blogging is very rewarding if done correctly and the most important thing to remember is that Content Is King when in comes to blogging. It is important to do a market research before you start your blog posting so you understand your market better.

Search for primary and secondary keywords you will use in your blog posts but do not over stuff your blog posts with keywords because then you could get penalized by Google.

Use the 1 to 2% rule, in other words if you write a blog post with 500 words then the keywords should be 1 to 2% of the words written or less.

If you use WordPress than you already get a word count as you write your content but if you don’t here is a great free tool you can use called, Word Counter.

We generally use less than 2.5% to stay on the good side of Google. When doing this correctly and then submitting your content to Social Media platforms like Facebook, Google+, StumbleUpon your content can actually go viral and get a steady flow of traffic when it offers high value as perceived by your Readers/Prospects, Google, Yahoo, Bing etc…

These are types of marketing strategies we use in our business specifically blogging which are getting results on a daily basis to generate two to eight leads a day just from blogging. Why?

  • You have to offer real value that anyone can use in their business to get results and more importantly solve people’s problems.
  • Don’t use rehashed content or copied material from other sites. I personally sit down and write all the content on my blog myself and I try to offer the highest quality related content I can.
  • You can also do some keyword research and find what people are typing into their search engine browsers and what they are searching for. It’s kind of cheating but not really, this is available to everyone and for free using Google’s Free Keyword Planner
  • When you do your research you would like to find the low competition keywords that have anywhere from 500 searches a month to unlimited searches as long as it is low competition. Why? You will get that traffic directed to your website or blog by top search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing etc… For keywords that are more competitive then you will have to do a lot more work to get that traffic.

When you do a search for, “How to bake a pie” for example you will get up to 800 related keyword results at one time.

Google Keyword Planner

If you noticed in the middle left of the image above I selected US, UK, and Canada for Language usually select English speaking countries but you can choose what ever country fits your search.

Once you click on the “Get Ideas” button you will get suggested keywords that you can use in your content as well and you will see the Search Volume and the Level of Competition too. Ok, Now you can just sift through the Low Competition keywords and use them in your content sparingly.

What is Article Marketing And How To Get Traffic From Article Directories

What Is Article Marketing ?

Aritcle MarketingArticle marketing is a form of promotion which can be done for nearly any site that you may have.

Article directories require that you write 500 word articles with good content, and when you place the link of your website at the bottom, it’s used as both a back link and a nice way to make some instant traffic.

This is a very easy way to get some good articles out there pointing back at your site. What most people don’t get is being able to get lots of traffic from this source of marketing.

The best way to get traffic from these articles is to focus on longtail keywords related to your niche. It doesn’t matter whether you’re in the IM niche or the golf niche, there are many longtail keywords that you can target.

Try using Google’s keyword tool to look for some good
keywords that you can try ranking for.

Once you find one good keyword to rank for, include that keyword in your article in the first sentence, middle of the article, the last paragraph, and the last sentence.

This will definitely help make that article get on the
search engines. I suggest using high quality authority sites like Ezine Articles or Street Articles, as there are good chances that you don’t need to spend so much time on gaining back links once the article is posted.

If the keyword has nearly no competition, it can get ranked almost instantly one it’s accepted.

A good tip worth remembering is to always try and market into the mini niches. If you have an affiliate site on golf, try writing articles in the mini parts of the golf niche like improving sand trap shots, putting, improving mental game, or having a longer drive.

By creating articles that are focusing on the smaller parts of your niche, you’ll be dominating nearly every longtail keyword with ease.
